The New York Times is introducing a new blog from a guy who aims to explain mathematics to the general public from the ground up. His first post explores what numbers are and why it seems useful to have such things as numbers. To illustrate this point he uses a Sesame Street clip as an example, which is awesome. Looks like it could be a fun thing to follow.
